  There are British Business Groups (BBG) in various cities in India, providing a forum for the business community, British and Indian, who share the desire to promote Indo-British commercial ties, to meet, discuss, and network.

  The BBG in Pune was set up in 2006 with the support of the British High Commission and some dedicated committee members.

  BBG Pune organises events normally on first Tuesday of the month at various locations in Pune( Business Dinners , Networking , Seminars , Round Table Conferences etc ) where prominent British and Indian guest speakers inform participants about current issues and share experiences.  It is also an opportunity to establish business contacts, discuss matters of mutual interests and to generally network. With a number of UK companies visiting Pune with trade delegations, the BBG is the ideal forum for your company to meet and discuss possible ventures.  This is a senior-level organisation for your top management team to be part of and benefit from. 

Our Pune Chapter has approximately 60 Members both Corporate, SMEs and Individuals ranging from the biggies like Tata Motors, JCB, Bharat Forge, the Big 4 as well as Mid-Size Companies / SMEs mainly in the Engineering, IT and Services Sectors. We also have a sprinkling of Individual Members who have an interest in UK India Relations.

We have had in the past well known Speakers / Guests at our Monthly Meetings including Mr. Nasser Munjee, Chairman, Development Credit Bank Ltd, Mr. Alan Rosling, Executive Director, Tata Sons Ltd., Mr. Arun Firodia, Sir Mark Tully, Padma Shri Mrs Lila Poonawalla, Padma Shri & Rajya Sabha Member Mrs Anu Aga, Mr Keki Mistry, Managing Director of HDFC, Mr Girish Wardadkar, President, KPIT Ltd., Lord Digby - Jones of Birmingham, Lord Peter Mandelson, The Lord Mayor of London and also His Royal Highness Prince Andrew - the Duke of York!
 
There are 3 levels of membership to suit your needs:

Corporate

Corporate membership is open to British companies who have a subsidiary or partner in India and Indian companies who have an interest in Britain and any other companies based in Pune with an interest in Britain.  Membership entitles a member company to nominate three individuals to attend meetings and events, but a corporate member has a single vote in proceedings of the BBG. 
The annual membership fee is Rs 20,000.

Asscoiate/SME

Other individuals or smaller companies with less than 100 employees may be invited to join as associate members.  Two individuals can attend events. 
The annual membership fee is Rs 15,000.

Individual Membership

Additional nominees from corporate members, together with British citizens resident in or frequently visiting India, are eligible to join as individual members.
  The annual membership fee is Rs 10,000.

“Special interest groups” have been set up for CFO, HR, IT and CSR.  There are also a range of member benefits. 

Members of BBG visiting other cities can attend the BBG Events in the particular cities as guests and on approval.
